About Me

I currently live in San Diego, California with my wife, Traci, and we have two daughters.  We love living in the Southwest from the beaches to the desert and everything in between.

How did I get started in voice-over?

My ‘voice acting’ actually started as a Navy SEABEE Military Instructor for the SEABEE Combat Warfare insignia, which required keeping the attention of 25 to 30 people at a time and a unique ability to be personal and also sometimes silly, especially in the field covering topic from naval heritage to chemical, biological, and radiological warfare. I loved my job, and it required many hours of lesson preparation for public and classroom speaking to the service men and women that I served alongside with.

From there my public speaking led me to a wonderful 15 years of ministry in my local church where I taught many Adult Discipleship Classes, prepare morning devotionals, prayers, and sermons for the congregation that were often recorded, edited and put into YouTube presentations particularly during the Pandemic.

I dove into voice over-acting at the encouragement of my friends and family.

My latest project has been working closely with a small group of friends to record scripture readings for the Lectio365 application for iPhone and Android devices.

What are my pastimes?

I like to consider myself a DIY (do it yourself) kind of guy, so I do a lot of reading and my experience in construction has provided me with a broad skillset of the construction trades that I use daily.

My favorite pastimes are buck skinning, overlanding, reading poetry, smoking meat, and cooking comfort foods.

I also enjoy exploring the country with Traci in my 2020 Tacoma pickup that we have built out to be our overland rig, capable of being self-sufficient off-grid for up to 7 to 10 days.

If I could go anywhere in the world, where would I go?

I love to travel in general, but my favorite places have been Budapest, Hungary and Prague in the Czech Republic. Both cities have such a unique atmosphere and history.
